A confirmed
bachelor – U.S. Rep. Howard Coble (R-NC) – is pleased
to announce a new baby for Team Coble. Congressman Coble said that
the constituent liaison in his Greensboro office gave birth to a
baby girl last night. Amanda Page, who has worked for Rep. Coble
for 16 years, and her husband Allen, welcomed their second daughter
into the world at 5:59 p.m. on June 15 at The Women’s Hospital
in Greensboro. All concerned are doing well.
“We
are all delighted to welcome another member of Team Coble,”
the 6th District representative said today. “This is the fourth
baby born to a member of our staff since we have been in office
and, ironically, all four have been girls. So, unfortunately, I
couldn’t insist on the name ‘Howard’ being used,
but I am not giving up hope. We offer our congratulations to Amanda
and Allen.”
The as-yet-unnamed
baby girl weighed in at six pounds, seven ounces. She joins her
older sister, Mary Allison, in the Page household in Elon. Allen
Page, who used to be Congressman Coble’s campaign manager,
now works for Citizens for a Sound Economy in North Carolina. In
addition, there are two sets of excited grandparents. They are Brannock
and Peggy Page in Elon and Jane and Jim Martin in Jamestown.
