COBLE TO OPEN
NEW RANDOLPH COUNTY OFFICE
After 13 years at the same
location in Asheboro, U.S. Rep. Howard Coble (R-NC) is announcing
that he is moving his Randolph County congressional district
office to a new location downtown. Congressman Coble said the
good news is that new office will offer his constituents nearby
parking and will be handicapped-accessible for those who need
to visit the office.
To accommodate the move to the new location, the current Asheboro office will
be closed on Thursday, June 9 and Friday, June 10. The new office – located
at 222 Sunset Avenue – will open on Monday, June 13 at 8 a.m. The current
phone number – 336.626.3060 – will not change after the move occurs.
Congressman Coble said the move to a new location in downtown Asheboro was
prompted by the federal government’s decision to eliminate the current
building from its inventory. “We were informed that the General Services
Administration plans to declare the current building at 241 Sunset Avenue as
excess property and dispose of it,” Rep. Coble noted. “That prompted
us to begin searching for a new location, but we wanted to remain downtown
to be centrally located for all residents of Randolph County. The new office
will be a great improvement because it will be handicapped-accessible for our
disabled and elderly residents who need to visit our office. In addition, there
is plenty of parking in the newly-refurbished Historic Downtown Parking Lot
located in the rear of the building making it much easier to visit us at our
new location.”
Randolph County district representative Rebecca Redding, who has worked for
Rep. Coble for the past 10 years, is looking forward to the move to the new
location. “We will have additional space for constituents to meet with
Congressman Coble when he comes to Randolph County,” Ms. Redding noted. “and
the nearby parking will be a big plus for our visitors. I am looking forward
to seeing our constituents in our new location.”

June 10, please contact our Greensboro office at 336.333.5005 if you have any
