New member joins Team Coble in Washington
For the first time in the 20 years that U.S. Rep. Howard Coble (R-NC) has served in office in Washington, D.C., the 6th District representative is pleased to announce a newborn addition to his Capitol Hill team. Last Saturday, February 26, 2005, Congressman Coble’s Legislative Director, Anna Sagely of Greensboro, gave birth to Charles Kenneth Sagely. Coble, who has been in office for 11 terms, has had North Carolina staffers give birth over the years, but Anna is the first Capitol Hill staffer to have a child while working for Rep. Coble.
“We are delighted to welcome Charlie Sagely to what we affectionately call ‘Team Coble,’” the Greensboro Republican announced. “We will miss his Mom while she is on maternity leave, but perhaps in a few years, we will put Charlie to work in serving the citizens of the 6th District.” Charlie Sagely was born to a set of parents who are both Hill staffers. Charlie’s Dad, Matt Sagely, is the Chief of Staff for U.S. Rep. John Boozman (R-AR). Charlie was born at 2:34 p.m. on February 26, weighing in at 8 pounds and 21 inches long.
Charlie’s maternal grandparents, Kathy and Charles Sample of Greensboro, are bursting with pride. Their daughter Anna is a 1991 graduate of Page High School in Greensboro and a 1995 graduate of the University of North Carolina. Anna has worked for Congressman Coble since 1999. Prior to that, she had worked for U.S. Rep. Cass Ballenger of Hickory, North Carolina.
Mother, father and child are doing well. “Uncle Howard” Coble is holding up well, too.
