Letter: A true public servant

Many people don't even know that Rowan County's own congressman, Howard Coble, is running for re-election this year. While no Democrat filed to run against Howard Coble, he does have a Libertarian opponent. I urge everyone in Rowan to vote for Congressman Coble on Nov. 5.

Howard has been an excellent watchdog for our tax dollars while in Washington. His staff provides outstanding constituent services to those in need. He maintains a full-time office here in Rowan. Howard is open and accessible. He returns home from Washington about every two weeks to make appearances all over the district. He has even refused to accept any money from the congressional program.

In other words, Howard Coble is a true public servant. He's in it for us -- not himself. When you vote on election day, don't forget to vote for Rowan's congressman -- Howard Coble.
